GQ:
How would a digital portfolio look in your classes?
What content would it have?
How would you assess it?
How would kids share it?
The digital portfolio development in the visual arts class consists of three main components: PROCESS, PRODUCT, and REFLECTION. Students have been creating their visual art projects, documenting the process either through still photography, and even time lapse video. Photos have been shared with students on drive where they have all their photos stored and updated as they move along the unit of study. In Google Classroom students write their reflections on their works of art, by answering the Essential Question of the unit, writing about their process, and reflecting about themselves as artists. Finally, students take all of their digital content which includes their photos and their artist statements and load all of these to their visual art blogs.
